Niteoliva
"Small or medium size olivellas, often with a color pattern of brown zig-zag lines on a white or cream-colored base. Parietal callus strong, generally wide, extending to the upper suture but the sutures not covered. Pillar structure strong, forming a shelf or tongue along the inner lip, widest below where it extends outward usually assuming a hook-shaped form, narrower and much lengthened above along the parietal wall and bearing at its end a small hook, the rest of its surface finely and evenly crenulate. Outer lip sharp and usually lirate within.".
Type species by original designation: Porphyria minuta Link, 1807.
A genus of small species distributed in the Tropical Atlantic realm (Tropical Northwestern Atlantic province), the Temperate South America realm (Warm Temperate Southwestern Atlantic province) and Tropical Eastern Pacific realm (Tropical East Pacific province). Most species are surf-zone dwellers or confined to very moderate depths.
The type species is Porphyria minuta Link, 1807.

This genus-group taxon most closely resembles Mansfieldella Olsson & Harbison, 1953. That taxon, however, has part of the false suture covered by callus, which lacks in the current taxon.
