"Quam O. nobilis magis angustata; apertura intus violacea; spira subapiculata. This shell partakes of the characters of both O. nobilis and O. irisans, but two shells so widely differing cannot be connected (Marrat).". Recent. New Caledonia.

Syntype ANSP 210128. New Caledonia. Ex Marrat collection, 1875 (ANSP, 2013).

This was a junior synonym of Oliva irisans Lamarck, 1811, for Tursch & Greifeneder (2001) and for Sterba (2004).
