SUMMARY
A species with a light-weight shell from the Western Indo-Pacific realm (Somali/Arabian province and Western Indian Ocean province).
It is often confused with Anolacia aperta (Sowerby, 1825) which is similar but lacks the fine axial riblets on the body whorl, has a more polished, shinier shell and lacks the sharp constriction of the posterior aperture.
