Distribution: Temperate Northern Pacific realm, Warm Temperate Northeast Pacific province (Cortezian ecoregion). Tropical Eastern Pacific realm. Tropical East Pacific province. Revillagigedos ecoregion. A record from Mactan, Philippines (Central Indo-Pacific realm, Western Coral Triangle province; Fechter, 1981) is very doubtful.
