SUMMARY
Distribution: Temperate Australasia realm. Northern New Zealand province (Kermadec Islands).
Holotype AM C.64838. New Zealand, Kermadec Islands, Raoul (Sunday) Island, Denham Bay.
The specimens figured and assigned to this species by Hart (1995), from off North Island, New Zealand, are closely similar to the dark "form" of Amalda hilgendorfi richeri, from New Caledonia, as described and illustrated by Kilburn & Bouchet (1988).
