SUMMARY
Distribution: Oligocene. Oligocene of the North Sea Basin (Germany). Oligocene of the Aquitaine Basin. France. Landes (Lozouet, 1992). Eastern Paratethys. Greece (Harzhauser, 2004).
Chavan & Fischer (1939) suggested that this species may be the descendant of the Eocene Ancillaria douvillei Vasseur, 1882, and in turn the precursor of the Miocene Ancillaria glandiformis Lamarck, 1811. Lozouet (1992) considered this taxon to be a subspecies of the latter.
