Original description(s):
"Shell of medium size, with elevated, pointed spire. Color white, brown, more often zoned. Parietal callus extending beyond the end of aperture to the suture, its surface smooth. Pillar structure simple, consisting of 4 or 5, long lirations around the anterior end of the pillar. Fasciole unequally divided by an incised line, the upper segment relatively narrow. Radular ribbon quite small, with about 31 rows of teeth, the rhachidian tooth, narrowly bow-shaped, with numerous (about 30) cusps, subequal in the middle, fading out towards the ends; laterals uncinate, with strongly curved, pointed ends".
