"Shell small for subgenus, stocky, rotund, with elevated conical spire; shoulder angled with tumid ridge; aperture of moderate width, becoming wider toward anterior end; fasciole wide, well-developed, with large, thickened basal cord; columella with 16 to 18 large, evenly-spaced plications; plications on fascicular area large, extending across anterior end of columella; color pattern (when preserved) composed of 2 wide bands of reddish-brown patches.".
