General description:

Distribution: Tropical Atlantic realm. Gulf of Guinea province. Angola. Pleistocene. Angola.

Although apparently restricted to Angola, the species was also reported from Porto Grande, Sao Vicente, Cabo Verde (Stearns, 1893). This record was discussed by Burnay & Da Conceiçao (1986), who also illustrated the specimens documented by Stearns.

Oliva nana

Original description(s):

"O. Ovata, exigua, cinereo-livida, lineis fuscis aut purpureis undata; spirà gibbosidâ prominente; columellâ callosâ. Très-petite olive, ovale, un peu ventrue, d'une couleur cendrée un peu livide, avec des linéoles brunes ou rougeâtres et en zigzags. La columelle est blanche, calleuse, et rend la spire un peu bossue. Cette olive n'a pas un centimetre de longueur".
