Buccinum glabratum
Original description(s):
"B. tefta glaberrima , anfractibus obsoletis: insimo basi subcanaliculato producto.". Refers to: Lister, 1688: Pl. 982 fig. 42 (A); Gualtieri, 1742: Pl. 43 fig. T (B); Argenville, 1742: Pl. 12 fig. G (C); Klein, 1753: Pl. 2 fig 47 (D). The figure of Gualtieri and Argenville's left hand figure indeed seem to represent the current species. Lister's figure represents a Babylonia (Buccinidae). Klein's figure seems to represent a Buccinum undatum Linnaeus, 1758 (Buccinidae).
