SUMMARY
Distribution: Tropical Atlantic realm. Tropical Northwestern Atlantic province. Western Caribbean ecoregion (Cozumel, Mexico). Southern Gulf of Mexico ecoregion (Campeche, Mexico).
A much smaller species than the type species. It has a highly characteristic pinkish coloured columella. It was originally described from the "Gulf of Mexico" and seems to be confined to the tropical soutehrn part of it, with the sparse records all coming from both sides of Yucatan Peninsuyla, Mexico.
