SUMMARY
Distribution: Temperate Northern Pacific realm. Warm Temperate Northwest Pacific province (NE Taiwan, SE Japan}. The Sea of Kumano-nada to Kii Channel, Japan. Sandy mud bottom in 120-200 m (Kuroda, 2000: 523).
Okutani (2000: 523) stated: "Resembling preceding species [Baryspira urasima Kira, 1959], but shell relatively thin, apex callosed but pointed stained in dark brown, and operculum with central nucleus much smaller than the aperture.".
RV 7025. Taiwan, August 18, 1997. Scale bar is 1 cm.
With its shape and small operculum with central nucleus it in fact more closely resembles a miniature of the slender morph of Ancillaria albocallosa.
